FSN video shoots with Trojan commits

A video shoot was held today for the FSN high school preview show with five USC Trojan verbal commits; Chris Galippo and D.J. Shoemate from Servite, Aaron Corp and Michael Reardon from Orange Lutheran as well as Martin Coleman from Edison.

* Galippo is currently at 6-2, 235-240, according to Chris. The impressive thing is that it looks as if he will be able to add some good size to his already impressive frame. When asked why he committed so early to USC he said "It didn't matter if it was last February, today or next December, USC was my dream school."

* Reardon says the USC coaches will look at him at center and offensive tackle. Michael said the coaches like his long first step as a center because it allows him to beat the nose guard quicker. When asked if he had a position preference he said "whatever gets me on the field quickest." Michael will play offensive tackle and defensive end this year for Orange Lutheran.

* Corp arrived at the shoot after coming straight from the Elite 11 camp where he won the accuracy portion of the camp competition.

* Shoemate says he is at 215 pounds right now with a goal of being at 205 for the start of the season. He will play RB and WR on offense, defensive end on defense. Shoemate says the fellow USC commit he keeps in touch with the most is Marc Tyler and when we told him we were on our way to see Martin Coleman he gave us his phone number to give to Martin so they could talk.

* Coleman will head out in the next few days for a vacation in South Carolina to visit his aunt.
