Thursday practice report

The Trojans got in another light Thursday practice today lasting just an hour and a half.

After spending his fifteen minutes of fame at the fullback position, Luthur Brown was again at linebacker today, and looks to be very comfortable at his regular position.

Kevin Thomas dressed and went through drills today.

Oscar Lua dressed and went through drills as well. He spent some time off to the side trying to loosen up his hamstring.

C. J. Gable was named the #1 kickoff return man, but it looks like auditions for that role are still taking place. In addition to Gable, Vidal Hazelton , Cary Harris, Allen Bradford, and Chris McFoy all took turns fielding kickoffs. Gable and McFoy were the first team return duo while Hazelton and Bradford worked with the twos.

At fullback, it sounds as if Stanley Havili and Mike Brittingham will share the duties. Although, Havili seemed to be getting the lions share of the work today.

Offensively, two guys who got a lot of work today were Allen Bradford and Stafon Johnson. Bradford's touches mostly came via handoffs while Johnson's were on pass completions. Travon Patterson and Vidal Hazelton received extended work with the first team offense as well.

The offensive line was back to normal, with Sam Baker, Drew Radovich, Ryan Kalil, Chilo Rachal, and Kyle Williams all performing as a unit for the entire practice. Top Stories
