Monday practice report

Monday afternoon's practice lasted just 45 minutes as the team went through several drills and a very quick, relaxed scrimmage.

Practice had a loose, fun atmosphere and it seemed no one was concerned with the close victory on Saturday. It's evident that this team is simply concerned with beating its opponent, no matter what the score.

As for the injury report, Chilo Rachal worked with the first-team offense today and looks like he should be ready to go on Saturday.

Steve Smith sat out today's practice. He was there catching passes while the quarterbacks warmed up, but did not run in any drills.

Allen Bradford was on the move quite a bit today. After starting drills as the scout-team running back, he was moved to work with the first-team offense at both tailback as well as fullback, before moving back to the scout team as a fullback. As a fullback, he was paired in the backfield with Stafon Johnson.

During the scrimmage, the second team got most of the work. Brad Walker and Travon Patterson both caught touchdown passes from Mark Sanchez, while Vincent Joseph and Shareece Wright had interceptions.

Stanley Havili attended practice and tossed the ball around with Steve Smith.
