"Now that I've had a chance to see USC, they have a shot. I had a real good time on my trip. I had a lot of fun talking to the guys. I thought they (USC) would only have guys from California, but they have a lot of guys from far away. Everyone is like family and they all love the coaches."
How good USC's chances are is unknown, but he said he's narrowed his choices to two.
"I'm down to USC and Tennessee," Paige said. "At Tennessee they have great coaches and they really take care of you. With USC, I'd have the opportunity to play early with only five receivers returning. They have a great offense and great traditions."
Paige was asked if the distance from Sterlington, LA would be an obstacle in choosing the Trojans.
"I don‘think so, at all," Paige said. "There's (Damian) Williams from Springdale (AR), John David Booty from Shreveport (LA) and (Broderick) Green from Little Rock (AR)--and Joe McKnight's could also be there, and he's from Louisiana, too. They said the first month is hard, but after that, it's gets easier."
Paige said he'll announce his decision Feb. 7 on ESPNU at 9 am CST.
We'll contact Paige after his announcement to get his thoughts on his commitment to Tennessee or USC.
