10 questions with Brandon Carswell

What about USC first caught your eye?

It was how relaxed and how much fun everyone was having when I was there for the summer skills camp.

What was your deciding factor in committing to the Trojans?

Annenberg School for Communication. I want to major in communications and seeing that was huge deal for me.

What are three words that describe you as a person?

Funny. Spontaneous. Crazy.

What are three words that describe you as a football player?

Exciting. Versatile. Passion.

What is your favorite thing to do on the field?

It's going to sound weird, but I like to dance while I'm playing.

What is your favorite thing to do off the field?

The same thing. Dance

If you don't go on to play in the NFL, what would you like to do?

I'd like to be either a sports broadcaster or a probation officer.

What are you most looking forward to in terms of playing for USC?

I'm looking for an opportunity to showcase myself. I'm also really looking forward to playing in a National Championship game.

What do you feel will be your biggest challenge in moving from high school to college?

Off the field, it will be being responsible for myself. On the field, it will be the speed of the game.

Who is the one player on USC's roster or in your recruiting class you are most excited to play with?

It's not really one player; it's USC's entire defense. It's crazy watching them during games jumping around and getting pumped up. It's really fun and that really gets me going as well.
