USC Vsits El Camino

There's been talk about USC offering fullback Patrick Hill(5-11, 245), since he and his coaches visited USC the last week of spring practices. The Trojans were telling him if a spot opened up on the roster, he could possibly receive a scholarship offer and enroll in the fall.

Last week, Michael Coleman decided to transfer from USC, seemingly opening up a spot for Hill.

WeAreSC contacted Hill Sunday night and he informed us that USC would visit El Camino today (4/30). And he confirmed three members of the staff did make it to the school today.

"Pete Carroll, Steve Sarkisian and the defensive coordinator (Nick Holt) stopped by today," the El Camino fullback said. "They've just telling me to stay on track with my spring classes, because right now, anything can happen. There's a strong chance that they (USC) might offer, but it all depends on what goes on with their program. That's what my coaches are telling me.

"Right now, it's little early, but it's getting to that time where they'll know something soon. They really just want me to stay focused on school, so everything is in place at the end of the school year."

If the Trojans do offer Hill, they'll be adding a new fullback to their 2007 roster.

"If USC offers, that‘s where I‘ll go," Hill said. "I grew up a big USC fan and I'm a big USC guy. I actually had a talk with Pete Carroll coming out of high school, and the situation is like it was then. They were waiting to see what happened with their players, and we kind of lost contact.

Although Hill couldn't talk to the USC coaches today per NCAA rules, he did speak with Carroll the last week of spring practices.

"When I went up to the USC practices, Pete Carroll told me I'm a great athlete, he loves the way I block, likes the way I hit and likes the way I catch the ball and run," Hill said.

WeAreSC will keep in contact with Hill during the May evaluation period and if he's offered, we'll be ready to write the commitment article. Top Stories
