WeAreSC.com caught up with Chatfield (CO) HS star RB Lendale White to get his thoughts on the Trojans 40-3 victory over the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday:
"I watched the game on TV and thought it was great. It was very impressive. I was happy because USC beat CU, they killed them. I thought they looked good, real good on offense, I could definitely see myself playing there. It was just an impressive win, it's impressive anytime you can get a win over a ranked opponent on the road like that. The game helped me a lot to make a decision on where I want to spend the next 4-5 years of my life, it put USC in a good spot.
I thought the Trojan running game was explosive, that line can block. It looks like the kind of plays I can run. I like catching the ball a lot, whatever it takes to win and they use the running back to catch the ball, that's something I can get used to.
I wouldn't call USC the favorite, though, I mean it's not that they aren't but I just have all the schools listed at the top right now. There's Texas, USC, Georgia Tech, K-State, Oregon and ASU, I guess that's six schools in my top five. I've already set up my trip to USC though, I'm coming out on November 29th for the Notre Dame game."
White also gave an update on the shoulder injury he suffered last week:
"It's just a slight separation. The trainers told me that almost half the players in the NFL play with this kind of injury and this is no different. I'm gonna be taking hits on it my whole career anyway so I might as well get used to doing it now. I have full mobility, range of motion, I can do anything so I'm gonna play with it."
