"I'm going to the Rising Stars Camp," said Robinson. "While I'm out there, I want to walk around the campus and see more of USC."
The Florida native will have plenty to see while on the Southern California campus, but the four-star prospect has one goal in mind when it comes to the way he will perform during the camp itself.
"I want to win the MVP of the camp," he said. "I want to show everybody that all the talk is real."
Robinson, who racked up an incredible 19 sacks as a junior, recently ran a sub 4.5 forty yard dash, giving college coaches plenty to be excited about. Full of confidence and swagger, he will also look to strike up a relationship with linebackers coach Ken Norton during his camp experience.
"I'm also going to be looking at how cool the linebacker coach is," he said. "I've spoken to him before, and he seemed real cool."
Pulling a prospect out of the Sunshine State is no easy task, and the Trojans will have their work cut out for them with Robinson. But according to the four-star linebacker, there may be a few factors working in their favor.
"I actually have some cousins who live out in California," he said. "I talked to them about going out there, and we are all pretty tight."
Having family in the area definitely does not hurt, but it was his parents' reaction to the USC offer that could make playing across the country very realistic.
"My parents told me to get out and try new things," he said. "They want me to stay focused wherever I go."
Robinson has kept a watchful eye on the current linebackers at USC, taking note of the amount of players USC has sent to the NFL in year's past.
"USC is producing linebackers right now," he said. "I look at the linebackers they have there and I think that could be me out there in a few years."
The Homestead linebacker would be a welcome addition to the 2008 class, but plans on taking a few official visits before cutting anything down. Will USC be the recipient of one of those official visits?
"I don't have any top schools yet," he said. "I want to decide somewhere in the middle of my season. I haven't really thought much about which schools I will officially visit, but USC will definitely be one of them."
