Senior Video of Nation's #1 Tackle

USC Commitment Matt Kalil is the #1 ranked offensive tackle prospect in the country by Scout.com. His Servite team took on Santiago on Saturday night, and ScoutTV was there to bring you a look at Kalil in action as a senior.

USC Commitment Matt Kalil is the #1 ranked offensive tackle prospect in the entire country by Scout.com. He and teammate D.J. Shoemate were USC's first two commitments, and they came up big in front of a packed house that included USC Head Coach Pete Carroll Saturday night against Servite.

ScoutTV was there to get a look at Kalil in action, and he lived up to his advanced billing.

At 6-6 and 280 pounds, Kalil has the ideal frame for an offensive tackle. He has tight end like quickness, and plays the game with high intensity. He uses his quickness well to get second level blocks several times a game, when he gets his initial block on a down lineman, then moves on to a linebacker.

He has the athleticism to pull from his tackle spot, and can be seen in running 20+ yards downfield on a lead block.

Monday, ScoutTV showed senior footage of Moody McNeal (video link), Tuesday it was D.J. Shoemate (video link), and today it's Kalil's turn.

The Servite offensive line pipeline is has been started with Matt and Ryan Kalil, and 6-7 and 280 pounds sophomore right tackle Matthew Jakubiec will be one to watch for in the Class of 2010.
