Tuesday Practice Report

Next up for the Trojans: USC visits Arizona State University at Tempe, Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 22, 2007, 5:00 p.m. PST, on ESPN.

Since this is a bye week, some of the younger players got a chance to practice with the first team and be on the front line. Standouts today included: Damian Williams, Brandon Carswell, Aaron Corp and Mitch Mustain. Also out of the ordinary, there was no press conference.

Rest and Recuperation

At the start of practice, some of the players at the trainer's table included: Brian Cushing, Lawrence Jackson, Keith Rivers, Alfred Rowe, Desmond Reed, Thomas Herring and Broderick Green.

Keith Rivers was wearing a protective boot around his left foot (high ankle sprain) from last weekend's Cal game.

Practice Notes

John David Booty sat out for the second day in a row, just to give his hand more time to heal. Mark Sanchez took a lot of the first team reps. But it was also a time for Michael McDonald to shake off some rust and to get Aaron Corp and Mitch Mustain some significant work time.

Stafon Johnson got some carries today, he is getting more agile each week and should be returning to full form soon. Joe McKnight got a lot of time in the backfield. Ronald Johnson got in a good practice and had some very nice receptions.

Brandon Carswell had several impressive catches and Damian Williams looked great as well. They will have the opportunity to contribute dignificantly next season. Practice ended as Ronald Johnson made an acrobatic catch of an Aaron Corp pass in the endzone.
