Fargas comments on game

Justin Fargas got his first start at tailback for the Trojans and responded with 27 carries for 139 yards and one touchdown in an aggressive display of running with the football. He talked on KMPC radio after the game with the following thoughts:

"I just wanted to take advantage of the opportunity Coach presented me with, he said "you're a senior and you need to go out and play like a senior" so I wanted to give it everything I had for this team.  I was definitely comfortable, the O-line did a great job and with the coaches having confidence in me I had confidence in myself.  I just wanted to go out there and perform, I was able to get in a little rhthym and it felt good to get the victory. With this offense we have so many weapons that it just keeps people off balance.

Through my career I've learned to have patience and perseverance so I knew I had to be ready when the opportunity came and the coach gave me a chance.  It really felt good to contribute to this team.

I try to run with aggression, full speed, that's something I learned throughout my career is to let my instincts take over.

I've been blessed to have a loving family and to have a father who's there for me.  He's really supportive, he's my biggest fan and he was in Chicago today watching the game, I'm really lucky for that.

I would definitely like to try and get a sixth year of eligibility.  I think I have a good case for that and I would love to have another year to be a Trojan.  That's definitely something I want to do but that's gonna be when the season's over so I'm just going to take it a game at a time and enjoy the experience."
