Conflicting stories on Donte

The LA Daily News is reporting that Mt SAC safety Donte Nicholson has given a verbal commitment to the Trojans but Donte is quoted on several websites as saying he did not commit anywhere. Nicholson is considered the top safety on the USC wish list and would be a major addition to this recruiting class.

"No, I didn't commit," Donte Nicholson told dawgman.com. "What happened is that they asked me, 'Do you see yourself playing here?', and I was like 'Sure, I could see myself playing here...but anything's possible at this point. When I said that, I guess they ran with it, because then I was talking to all the coaches. In the back of my mind, I was like, 'Boy, I hope they don't think I committed,' because I didn't."

Dominic is a big and physical player who signed with the Washington Huskies out of high school after playing with Dominic Robinson at Diamond Bar HS. Donte has been looking at USC, Washington and Oklahoma.
