Chris Robinson III Interested in USC

Chris Robinson III is a relative newcomer to football. With just a year experience playing football, Robinson is trying to make himself available to college football. Robinson will be a senior at C. Milton High School (Maryland), he stands in at: 6'2 350 lbs., and recently attended USC Lineman Camp.

How was Lineman's Camp for you?

"Camp went well, I learned a lot. They showed me a lot of things I didn't know before. Right now I work out with Marcus Ogden, brother of Jonathan Ogden (Baltimore Ravens All-Pro lineman). He told me I have a good chance to play at the next level."

"It was a good experience to work with Pete Carroll, I learned a lot at USC."

What position are you playing now?

Defensive tackle.

What did you learn at camp?

"I worked with Coach Holt. He's a tough coach. He showed us tricks of the game and how to get off the ball quicker, things like that. It helps a lot."

"Coach (Holt) told me to stay aggressive and keep trying. Pete Carroll told me I did a good job, which was really cool.

What schools are you interested in?

"Right now, USC, University of Maryland and UCLA. But right now, the main school is USC."

Have you been to other camps?

"No football camps. I always played basketball and last year was my first year playing football. This was really my first football camp. I am going to Rising Stars Camp (next week).

What are your goals for the rest of the summer? For the school year?

My goals for the summer are just to become a stronger football player. To become stronger and faster. For the school year, to help my team win as much as possible. I'm looking forward to it.

Notes Chris Robinson's father, Chris Robinson Jr. was a big part of the younger Robinson's participation in Lineman's Camp. His father said Chris comes out to Los Angeles every year and he thought it would be beneficial for his son to participate in the camp.

In previous years Robinson participated in basketball and this is the first summer where he is spending time on the football field.

The Robinsons look forward to the USC Rising Stars Camp, which will be held this week on campus.

Note: the elder Robinson is a well-known director, who has done outstanding work in the music video industry and TV commercials.
