Carson wins Unitas Award

USC quarterback Carson Palmer was named today as the winner of the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award which is presented each year to the top senior QB in the country. Click below for more details:

Palmer completed 288 of 458 passes for 3,639 yards and 32 touchdowns this season and is the Pac-10's career leader in passing yards and total offense.

He beat out Miami's Ken Dorsey, Marshall's Byron Leftwich, Iowa State's Seneca Wallace and Louisville's Dave Ragone. The presentation of the award will be in Lousivlle on December 13th and will be the first award presented after the death of Unitas this past September.

This has been a big week for Carson after earlier being selected to the FWAA All-American team and the Pac-10 co-Offensive Player of the Year.
