Quoting Carroll: Washington St. Post Game

The USC Trojans cruised to a 69-0 victory over the Washington State Cougars on Saturday in Pullman, WA. Look inside to see what USC Head Coach Pete Carroll had to say following the blowout win.

Pete Carroll on the play of Broderick Green:

"I thought it was good to see Broderick (Green) get his chance, and to get him rumbling. You can see the kind of runner that he is and the style that he has. It's an exciting style to add with the other guys that we have. He brings it and he is good in the open field as well."

Pete Carroll on USC's preparation:

"Our guys had a ball playing football today. Right from the locker room on out they were jacked up and pumped on the sidelines. We wanted to find that level of focus that we really hadn't had yet. I think today was the best we had in terms of preparation."

Pete Carroll on the impressive play of the offense:

"Mark executed beautifully in the first half. To throw five touchdowns in a half is pretty good. We ran the ball beautifully throughout, and I like that we didn't have any penalties, to speak of. Those are all things that we needed to get done."

Pete Carroll on getting everyone in the game:

"The really exciting thing today is seeing so many guys contribute, and so many guys play. All of the offensive linemen got to play and played over a half of the game. Everybody contributed; it's a great locker room right now."

Pete Carroll on where the Trojans are at the midpoint of the season:

"I'm fired about where we are. I'm fired up because the defense is playing so well. We can count on these guys from front to back. We haven't giving up very many points this year at all. We just continue to play a really hard physical, aggressive style. I think we are getting great leadership from Rey (Maualuga), (Brian) Cushing, Kevin (Ellison) and Fili (Moala). So we have a chance to really make this turn here with a lot of things going in our favor."
