After taking a trip across town to Westwood on Jan. 9th to visit UCLA, Van Nuys (Calif.) Birmingham wide receiver Devon Flournoy took his official visit to USC this past weekend and was welcomed by a familiar face.

"I have a guy from Birmingham, Malik Jackson, now at USC," Flournoy said. "Malik was my host on Friday and Damian Williams was my host on Saturday."

Flournoy said he enjoyed the visit and had a great time getting to know the players.

"It was great," Flournoy said of the visit. "I'm still an SC commit."

While the four-star receiver is still committed to USC, he says he will wait until National Signing Day to make his final decision.

"Everybody will find out where I am going on February 4th," he said.

Flournoy said one of the highlights of the trip was meeting with new offensive coordinator John Morton.

"He's a real honest guy. He tells you like it is no matter what. That's what I love about him," Flournoy said. "He tells you that you will get an opportunity to play, but he doesn't promise you anything like a starting spot."

On the trip, Morton and Flournoy spent time in the film room discussing how the speedy receiver would be featured in USC's offense.

"I am going to be playing the Z receiver," Flournoy said. "We went into a room and watched some film of the routes that I would be running.

So what skills does Flournoy bring to the field?

"I bring speed and I can be a possession receiver as well. I am a big playmaker, after I catch the ball I burst and I can get six, or get behind the coverage on a long pass."

Flournoy previously visited California and UCLA, and said his visit to USC would be his last.

"I don't think I am going to take anymore visits," he said. "I think that was the last one."
