Telfort picked USC over Florida largely because of the bond that he developed with the USC coaching staff during the recruiting process.
"The thing I like about USC is they have a great linebacker coach that sent all four of his linebackers to the NFL this past year," Telfort said in a previous interview. "Ken Norton is a very prestigious coach, and he's been everywhere that a young linebacker wants to be. I feel that he is one of the best in the whole game.
"The experience of him coaching me would be second to none. It would just be incredible."
USC assistant coach Todd McNair, handled the recruitment of Telfort, and played a major role in securing his commitment.
"Me and Todd (McNair) are boys," Telfort said. "We really hit off. We talk nonstop, and our conversations are never dull. It's a good relationship."
Telfort is a tremendous athlete that can play either safety or weakside linebacker on the college level and joins Byron Moore as the second player to commit to USC this morning.
