Tampa (FL) Plant High School tight end Orson Charles trimmed his list of possible college choices from four to three on Wednesday. USC, Georgia and Tennessee are the schools that remain in the running to land the highly sought after recruit.

"I am down to USC, Georgia, and Tennessee," Charles told Scout.com.

Charles dropped the home state Florida Gators from contention.

"I appreciate Florida's interest and I think very highly of Urban Meyer and the Gators," Charles said. "This was a tough decision for my family."

Charles had previously said that he would drop one or two schools today and then discuss the remaining schools with his family before making his official announcement on March. 6th.

The five-star tight end just returned from his official visit to USC last weekend and the Trojans remain in the hunt for Charles' signature.
