Lendale (6-1, 225) gained 7,802 yards in a career that saw him earn all-state honors for three straight seasons. He is known as a power running back and he also has good speed. Lendale made the announcement prior to the US Army all-star game on Sunday.
"I felt in my heart that that's where I wanted to go," White told Inside Texas.com "And I felt like I could play early there. I felt very comfortable with the players and the coaching staff."
White said he is excited about going to USC with Reggie Bush, another national stud RB who also committed while in San Antonio.
"He's not going to do anything but make me better and make me work hard every year," White said of Bush. "I'm not going to run from anybody. Everybody wears the same pants. Reggie wears the same pants just like me."
