USC defensive coordinator Rocky Seto has been Radley's main contact at USC, but recruiting coordinator has also communicates with the Agoura star athlete.
"I've been talking to Coach BC(Brennan Carroll) and he asked me what position I really want to play, because I have offers as a running back, but I'm projected to be a safety," said Radley. "He was telling me it would be really big coming out for the Rising Stars Camp and compete at safety. That will give USC a really good chance to evaluate me. I know for a fact I will be attending the Rising Stars camp."
He explained why USC is a school he has high interest in.
"I've grown up in L.A. and USC is our NFL team, you know?" said Radley about one of the reasons for his interest in the Trojans. "We don't have an NFL team in L.A. and I've just grown up going to a lot of their home games. I remember going to SC games since I was eight years old. My uncle, Curtis Conway, went to USC and was an MVP there."
Another reason for Radley's interest in the Trojans is Seto.
"I like him a lot, he's a good guy, he's very spiritual and I'm very religious also, and that's something we share and have in common," said Radley about his relationship with Coach Seto. "He's a good coach, he has some good energy, he knows what he's talking about and what's not to like, he's a great coach? The proof is in the pudding, look at the great DB's he's putting out."
UCLA is another local school Radley has interest in and the Bruins have expressed their interest, and their desire for Radley to attend one of its camps this summer.
"UCLA is still recruiting me hard and they want me to come to their camp, also," said Radley. "They invited me to their Elite Camp, but I'm not sure I'm going to attend the UCLA camp."
Radley may or may not attend the Elite Camp at UCLA this summer, but there are at least two camps other than USC's he is certain he'll attend.
"I will be at the B2G camp (Cal Lutheran June 25-28) and I also might take a trip to Clemson," said Radley when asked if he had plans to attend other camps besides the Rising Stars camp. "I've been talking to one of their coaches a lot and he wants me to come and visit their school, and they might offer.
"I've registered for the Scout.com camp just in case I want to attend, but I'm not 100% sure I'll compete at this point," Radley said. "I told my man, B Huff (Brandon Huffman), I would go, so I'm going to attend for sure, but I might not work out."
"Absolutely," said Radley when asked if he expects interest from college coaches to increase after this month. "I talk to the coach at Louisiana Lafayette and he said I should expect an offer from them on Monday or Tuesday. Iowa State said the same thing and they want to offer me next week. I've talked to a lot of coaches about offers possibly coming, so we'll see. You never know."
There isn't a more socially connected 2010 prospect than Lucky Radley and his list of contacts is impressive.
"I'm cousins with Blake Stanton from Crespi High school, Dietrich Riley is like a brother to me and we are real close," Radley said. I talk with Brian Bennett from Crespi, Matt Barkley, Kevin Graf, Dillon Baxter, Tony Jefferson and DJ Morgan. Dillon Baxter, DJ Morgan and Tony Jefferson spent the night at my house over the weekend."
We'll have more from Radley after the Los Angeles Scout.com Combine.
