Drew Radovich trip update

Mission Viejo offensive tackle Drew Radovich was one of several Trojan verbal commitments who took their official visits this weekend and in this report Drew gives an update on his trip.

"I got there on Friday afternoon and right away we met with the coaches in a meeting.  After that we went back to the hotel, we were staying at the Marriott next to Staples Center and for dinner we went to the Fox Sky Box at the Staples Center.  I hung out with my host Kyle Williams and he gave me some real good inside information on what to get ready for.  He just said the speed is so much different that what you see in high school.  He's a really cool guy.

On Saturday we had breakfast and then we took a campus tour and checked out the weight room, the locker room and all that.  I had seen all that at Junior Day but it was still pretty cool.  We went and saw where our dorms are going to be at Cardinal Gardens and they were pretty nice.  After that we went to lunch and then we had a position meeting with Coach Davis for about an hour where we watched film and he was asking my thoughts on different schemes, my opinions of the flaws on certain plays and what I would do to correct it.  I need to get familiar with the new terminology but the schemes are basically the same as what we ran in high school so that's gonna help me a lot.

We went to the Coliseum and saw the locker room with our jersey's and our lockers all laid out with name plates and everything.  It was rad.  We walked on the field and they had our names on the board and over the loudspeakers, I wasn't expecting that so it was pretty cool.  Terrell Thomas and Sedrick Ellis committed right after the naming thing, they just called Coach Carroll over and said "we're in".  That's two more good players for us.  Ellis, he's the real deal.  We played against him in my junior year and he's real good, I've got a lot of respect for him.

We went back to the hotel and rested before going to dinner at Papdakis' restaurant, that place is pretty sweet.  They were throwing glass everywhere, they had belly dancers.  I met John Papadakis and he's a real good guy.  We went out after that to House of Blues with Winston Justice and a bunch of the other recruits.  Winston gave me some information about how he was able to start as a freshman.  He just talked about how much hard work it took and how you have to have the attitude that you can do it.

On Sunday we went to a breakfast at Coach Carroll's house and that was basically the end of the trip."
