Patrick Turner was widely scrutinized his sophomore and junior seasons, but last season Turner was a clutch performer for the Trojans. As was Damian Williams, but Turner is gone and USC hasn't found a solid replacement for Turner. Ausberry has had his moments, good and bad, but the time might be right for the USC coaching staff to expand Brice Butler's role in the offense.

And going by what happened in practice this week, it appears they will expand his role.

There weren't many offensive highlights last week in Seattle, but Butler did have a nice reception and ran for seven to eight yards after the catch.

We caught up with Butler after Thursday's practice and he talked about what went wrong at Washington, how the Trojans have moved on and are focused on the Cougars, and much more...
