Where are The West Top-150 Going?

Sometimes numbers don't mean anything with recruiting and sometimes they mean everything.

Such as Scout.com's West 150, which lists the leading plyers from seven western states -- California, Washington, Arizona, Hawaii, Utah, Nevada and Oregon.

USC has nine commitments from the list of 150 from the western region and Washington has 11.

But look at the quality levels and you can see a decided difference.

Here are the rankings for USC players: Xavier Grimble, 6; D.J. Morgan, 10; Dillon Baxter, 14; Jesse Scroggins, 25; Randall Telfer, 26; Dion Bailey, 33; Giovanni Di Poalo, 48; Anthony Brown, 78; Trajuan Briggs, 84.

Washington's numbers: 21, 41, 42, 53, 62, 69, 75, 81, 108, 123, 149.

In case you're wondering, UCLA has commitments from four Top 150 western players. The Bruins will certainly end up with more than that, but USC and Washington will also add more Top-150 West Coast prospects between now and signing day.
