Woods impressed with the USC defense

Antwaun Woods burst onto the recruiting scene with solid performances at two USC camps in June. A few months later the Trojans offered him a scholarship and he's received numerous scholarship offers since. Woods willl be one of the elite defensive tackles in the 2011 class and he has very high interest in USC.

If all goes as expected, USC is in great shape to sign three of the most talented defensive linemen on the West Coast in Jalen Grimble from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Greg Townsend Jr. from Beverly Hills High and Antwaun Woods from Taft High in Woodland Hills.

Taft was 4-0 heading into their contest with Serra on Friday night, but lost a tough 26-20 overtime battle to the Cavaliers. Woods and the Taft defensive line pressured Serra quarterback Conner Preston all night and did an outstanding job at stuffing the run. Woods' play was a big reason for that.

Woods was gracious enough to talk with us after the disappointing loss and talked about what Taft could have done to win the game, what's ahead on the schedule, what he's been impressed with from USC this season and more...
