Serra and Taft faced off on Friday night at Serra High in Gardena and the Cavaliers won a hard fought battle over Taft 26-20 in overtime. Although it wasn't a high scoring affair, there were plenty of highlights of some of the most talented prep ballers on the West Coast.

Robert Woods, George Farmer, Paul Richardson and 2011 DB and basketball star Marquis Lee were key contributors in the victory.

Injured and ill quarterback Conner Preston also had a gutty performance. Preston was thought to have had a cracked rib, a lacerated right thumb and a battle with illness.

Preston still managed to throw some solid passes to Woods, Farmer and Richardson.

Lee, just a junior had two huge interceptions, one in overtime allowing Serra to score the winning touchdown a few minutes later.

Will Harris, Jason Mitchell (Lucky Radley's cousin), Ken Norton and Pete Carroll were also in attendance, and word was there were a few coaches asking who Marquis Lee was. We didn't get any names.

Woods is #2, Farmer #3, Richardson #18, Lee #8 and Preston #11. Top Stories
