"USC is where I want to be"

For those of us who know Kenny Stills, and have been entrusted with his trust, have known USC has been the school he's wanted to attend since the beginning of the recruiting process for him. Sure, there are some, and I've read posts from a few who say they talk to him and say he never mentions USC, but those are outsiders and don't really know Kenny Stills, but I do.

Stills and I communicate once or twice a week and he was extremely forthright last nigh when we spoke.

Not that he hasn't been in the past, because in July he sent me this message, "SC is my school," he said. "dbaxx (Dillon Baxter) stayed at my crib the other night". We kept quiet on that topic because Stills wanted to take a look at other schools.

Baxter, who verbally committed to USC after the 2008 Rising Stars Camp, and Stills are very close friends.

But that isn't the only reason Stills wants to attend USC and he harbors no hard feeling after he was told USC didn't have a spot for him at the time they did.

"USC is where I want to be," said Stills. "I just wanted to see a few other schools and didn't make it clear that I wanted to be a Trojan?"

Stills, who has official visits set up for Florida, Penn State and Oklahoma, told SCPlaybook last night USC was his top school and would commit if offered.

"I want to be at USC and if they offer late in the process, I won't look at that as a negative issue, and won't have an attitude that they have burned their bridges," said Stills in a revealing reply.

It's no secret Stills wants to be a Trojan, it's up to USC to find a spot for him.

We'll continue to speak to Stills every week and provide updates on where he's at with recruiting, and if USC renews its interest in the talented wide receiver.
