Jordan Campbell returns to practice

Jordan Campbell got his first start at linebacker for the Trojans nearly five weeks ago against Washington St., but was injured late in the first half and hasn't practiced since, because of a high ankle sprain. He returned to practice for the first time today.

"It felt good to finally get back out on the practice field," said Campbell. "I'm still a little sore, but I'm about 85 to 90 percent right now."

Campbell said he won't be a part of the linebacker rotation this weekend, but he will travel to Eugene tomorrow for the game with Oregon on Saturday night.

"I will play on special teams for now and hopefully keep getting healthier, and make my way back into the linebacker rotation real soon," Campbell said.

He was the leading tackler with seven against the Cougars on Sept. 26, despite missing the entire second half. Campbell was starting in place of an injured Malcolm Smith. Top Stories
