McKnight's in a good place mentally

Last season USC running back Joe McKnight had 89 carries for 675 (7.4 YPC) and scored two touchdowns in 11 games. So far this season, after nine only nine games, he has 127 carries for 816 (6.2 YPC) yards and scored seven touchdowns. His production is up and so is the level of his enjoyment on the football field.

Anyone who has attended practices this season, especially those who have known Joe McKnight for a while, can see how much more he's enjoying himself on and off the football field this year.

Perhaps it's fatherhood, perhaps it's maturity or perhaps it's his increased role in the offense? Either way, it's obvious McKnight is much happier this year than he was his first two at USC.
