Jefferson looking hard at four schools

Anthony Jefferson from Los Angeles Cathedral somewhat played in the shadow of current UCLA wide receiver Randall Carroll last year, but this season he has emerged as one of the elite prospects on the West Coast. He told SCPlaybook there are four schools at the top of his list and he might schedule an official visit to Notre Dame.

Jefferson had a difficult assignment last Friday night in covering Robert Woods and did an outstanding job, limiting Woods to four receptions for 35 yards. That was Woods' lowest offensive production this season.

We spoke to Jefferson after the difficult 21-7 loss to Serra and he talked about facing Robert Woods, why Serra was able to beat the Phantoms, which schools are recruiting him the hardest, his plans to attend a USC game in the final weeks and more...

With the Trojans missing out on Joshua Shaw, look for USC to turn up the heat in their pursuit of Jefferson.
