George Farmer and Serra finish season strong

Serra junior wide receiver has been a huge weapon for Cavalier quarterback Conner Preston this season and has 29 receptions for 631 yards and nine touchdowns. He has two fewer receptions this year than last year, but more yards and more touchdowns. Plus Serra added four-star wide receiver Paul Richardson to the team, and he's also been productive with 27 catches for 516 yards and six touchdowns.

George Farmer is averaging an impressive 21.76 yards per reception, not bad for a kid who is still only 15 years old.

Farmer will likely be one of the most highly rated and sought after wide receivers in the 2011 class. He already has offers from schools like USC, UCLA, Michigan, Arizona State, Stanford and California. And Florida stopped by Serra last week and a future offer from the Gators could be in the works?

We reported Farmer accepted an invite to the 2011 Under Armour All-America Game and that's when he plans on making his commitment public. But we wouldn't be surprised if Farmer decided to contact a coaching staff much sooner than that, and verbally commit. Perhaps as early as late summer/early fall?
