Has Tony Jefferson had a change of heart?

Tony Jefferson from Eastlake High in Chula Vista, Calif., Scout.com's No. 11 ranked OLB, who perhaps is more of a safety/running back prospect, told SCPlaybook back in July he had verbally committed to USC earlier in the year, but no longer had interest in the Trojans. He then verbally committed to UCLA later in the month, but that commitment has been in question for quite some time.

Jefferson has taken official visits to Arizona, Michigan and Oklahoma this fall, and surprisingly, has plans to take an official visit to USC this weekend.

"I've always had interest in USC, but something happened that turned me off," said Jefferson. "USC never stopped recruiting me, I want to make sure that's understood. I just stopped being interested in USC. But since then, some things have been cleared up and I am interested in USC again."

With Jefferson revealing his renewed interest in USC, we asked if he'll take an official visit?

"Yeah, it will have to be this weekend if I'm going to take an official visit to USC," said Jefferson. "I'm about 80% sure I'll visit USC this weekend when they play UCLA. I will be talking to Coach (John) Morton tomorrow night."

Jefferson said he plans on announcing his final decision on a school in early December, then enroll at the school he chooses in January.

We'll talk with Tony Jefferson again tomorrow night to find out if he's 100% sure about his official visit to USC.
