Matt Barkley was all smiles Saturday night after USC defeated UCLA 28-7. Barkley was 18-26 throwing for 202 yards and a touchdown. But the highlight of the night was a 48 yard touchdown toss to Damian Williams with 52 seconds left to play, and the Trojans up 21-7.
USC and Barkley were content to take a knee and run the clock out with 54 seconds left to play, but UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel called timeout. So, USC offensive coordinator called for a deep ball to be thrown to Williams and the play was executed perfectly.
