Anthony Brown talks about his official visit

Kaiser cornerback Anthony Brown was offered a scholarship in June and verbally committed to USC on July 10. Since then he's been to a few practices and games, but he took his official visit to USC this weekend. Brown talked about the experience, his thoughts on enrolling on Jan. 8, what he thinks USC's chances are with Sione Potoae and Owa Odighizuwa and more...

"The visit was awesome," said Brown about his weekend at USC. "I was reminded why I want to be a Trojan. It was great seeing the team practice, spending time with the coaches, the players and attending the meeting was a lot of fun."

Brown said he also appreciated the opportunity to see the campus and meet with the academic advisors and the opportunity to spend time with Shane, and Wes Horton.

"Shane Horton was my host and I spent a lot of my time with him," said Brown. "He's a great guy and so is his brother Wes. Wes was with Sione and Owa a lot of the time and they said they also had a great time. They were really excited about what they had seen. I think we have a great shot at getting both of them."

And what about his teammate's, linebacker Josh Shirley's, interest level in USC?

"Josh has high interest in USC," Brown said. "He will take an official visit to USC in January and I will be his host."

With January 8, 2010 right around the corner, Brown's life is about to dramatically change and he said he's ready for it.

"I can't wait to get to USC on Jan. 8," said Brown. "My high school career was great up until the last game, but now it's time to move on and do what I can to help the Trojans."
