Eddrick Loften will likely visit USC

Eddrick Loften from Nimitz High in Irving, Tex., met with USC defensive backs coach Willie Mack Garza today, and they talked about Loften taking an official visit to USC this weekend.

"Yeah, they (USC) came up here today and I was talking to Coach Garza, and he asked if there was a chance I would come to USC for a visit this weekend," said Loften. "I know it's a nice environment and a nice place to be at Southern Cal."

Loften committed to Tennesse on Dec. 30, and he still considers himself a Vol commit, but a lot has changed in Knoxville since then. And Loften had a strong relationship with Garza.

"Coach Garza and I have been talking for a little over a month now when he was at Tennessee, and he was the one who brought me there," said Loften. "He's the one who brought me to Tennessee. He's a real cool guy and a real down-to-earth guy."

We asked Loften if he had taken any other official visits?

"Texas A&M wanted me to come in for a visit, but right now I'm probably going to take my official to USC and rap things up after that," Loften said.
