Antwaun Woods no longer plans to visit Utah

Antwaun Woods, four-star defensive tackle from Taft High, wants to know how his commitment to USC for 2011 suddenly became ``soft,'' as it is designated by Scout.com.

``Why am I not listed as an SC commit," he inquires.

Told this designation is placed on those who schedule trips to other schools despite making a commitment, Woods replies: ``Well, tell the SC people my commitment isn't soft.'' Woods also wonders how he could suddenly drop from the No. 5 defensive tackle in the nation to No. 7 in Scout.com's latest rankings.

``What did I do?'' he asks. Who knows?

Woods has a scheduled official visit to Washington in early September when the Huskies play Nebraska and supposedly had scheduled an official visit to Utah for Nov. 27.

He still intends on taking his official visit to Seattle, but no longer plans to visit Utah.

"Take Utah off my list," said Woods. "I no longer have interest in them."

"And I'm not going to miss the SC/Notre Dame game that weekend."

Woods is looking forward to his senior season at Taft and he's also looking forward to doing some recruiting for the Trojans. We'll have more on that next week.
