As expected, the University of Louisville football program has already added another prospect since signing day. Tae Thibodeaux from New Iberia, La., signed on Wednesday.
Now, the Cardinals could be adding a couple of other prospects this weekend.
The 6-foot-2, 285-pound Vatuvei originally committed to USC out of Patterson, Calif., High School before changing his mind on signing day and signing with Washington. He played in nine games as a true freshman at Washington in 2012, starting one game and recording seven tackles.
But he was dismissed from the Washington program last July and spent a season at the College of San Mateo, Calif. He was named an All-Conference player this past season and is also hearing from Fresno State and Colorado.
The 6-2, 310-pound Moala originally signed with Arizona State, picking the Sun Devils over Miami, Fla., out of Serra High School in Gardena, Calif. He attended school at Arizona State but was dismissed from the team for a violation of team rules.
In 2012, Moala finished third at Cerritos in tackles with 49 and had 7.5 sacks and then had 55 tackles and four sacks as a sophomore. He has two years to play two years at his next school. He is also looking at Oregon State and Kansas State.
Cardinal Authority will keep you posted on the two visits after the prospects leave campus.
