Utah State was the first school to offer Dual Threat Quarterback Kareem Coles. Kareem could be described as a left handed 6'1 175 Dynamic QB. He ran the 100 meter dash this track season in 10.70. For obvious reasons he has been approached by teams about playing DB.
Kareem won a State Championship as a Sophomore and thought his recruitment would really take off but is very excited about receiving his first offer. Kareem plays in the San Diego area but he is originally from Pittsburg PA. Therefore he is not set on staying in CA. He has been working with retired NFL QB Jeff Garcia and wants the chance to play QB at the FBS level. "I think it's a real good school w/ good academics and I think its a real good fit because USU runs the style of offense thats fits my skill set" Kareem told me.
He is described to me as a humble hard working kid that is a winner. On the field it looks like he has great elusiveness and big time playmaking ability. He is not a big guy but he has the kind of breakaway speed that you can't teach and has a pretty good arm. I see a big upside for him with the right coaching.
