UstateAggies.com has learned that Redshirt Freshman Safety Myron Turner has been suspended for the entire 2014 football season. Turner was suspended over what was described as an "on campus situation", which I would believe to mean a non-criminal matter. However Turner is scheduled to return to the Aggies in January and be fully eligible to participate in 2015 spring practice, as long as he meets the criteria mapped out to enable his return to the team.
Turner was a 3* signing for Utah State in 2013 out of DeSoto high school in Texas. Turner was originally committed to Washington State of the PAC-12. Turner's high school accomplishments include, Texas Class 5A Region I honorable mention all-state honors as a prep senior at DeSoto (Texas) High School as he helped his team to a 14-1 record and to the semifinals of the state playoffs. During his senior year, he recorded 82 tackles, including two for loss, to go along with 14 pass breakups, one interception and one fumble recovery. Earned the Ellis Hobbs Award which is annually given to an individual who excels on the field and in the classroom, and also has great character. DeSoto HS was ranked third nationally and second in the state of Texas in 2012. Also competed in track & field in the 100 and 200 meters.
