Huge Recruiting Weekend for Utah State

Homecoming was hopefully a key weekend for Utah State's recruiting. Key recruits from 2015, 2016 and even 2017 were at the game.

There were about 40-50 key recruits at the Air Force game that got serenaded by the USU student section cheer. Utah State had one of their most important recruiting weekends of the year this weekend.

Whether a committed recruit, one who will not ever get offered or a high level recruit that chances are will not sign with Utah State the message was the same. They all told me they loved the visit. It was a great chance to get to know other recruits and that is so important to getting commits. It goes back to the Social part of their decision to sign with a school.

Already committed guys like Chad Artist, Hartman Rector and Levani Damuni were active talking to other local recruits. Mason Tobeck told me he arrived in Logan on Friday night and got to hang out with some guys from the team.

One of the most high profile recruiting stories this year will be Noah Togiai. The TE from Hunter HS is currently committed to the University of Utah to play Basketball. The Dual Sport athlete has a brother Ian that plays for the Utah State Football team. Noah had a few Tweets that showed that he is still considering Football at USU.

Simi Fehoko from Brighton HS plays WR and some safety on Defense. I have watched Brighton a lot and based on how he is playing this year as a Junior and the interest and offers he has already garnered from Utah and BYU this offer was a no brainer.

Mason Tobeck who recently committed was at the game along with the other commits: Levani Damuni, Hartman Rector, Chad Artist, Dalton Baker and Wade Meacham.

One of the Key visitors was Lopini Katoa who is having a great season at American Fork HS. The Running Back is one of the 5A contenders for MVP so far this year.

One of the highest rated visitors was Chaz Ah You who seemed to enjoy the atmosphere he tweeted:

Really Impressed with Utah state. Fun place to be and a great fan base. Really energetic environment #usuaggies

A recent offeree Harris LaChance was at the game and he was really impressed with the visit. He has great frame and potential.

Other visitors included Braxton Gunther (2016), Tyler Downs, Solo Taylor (2016), Cole Casper, Jalen Dyson and JC recruit Jordan Fogal
