2015 Signing class filling up for Utah State

Utah State got word today that Gerold Bright is committed. He is currently the highest rated recruit. The Aggies are running out of room in the 2015 signing class however.

#AggieUp what a great tweet to see come through from Coach Matt Wells.

We may not see that too many more times this year however. The 2015 signing class is filling up fast. Because of late signees and transfers to go along with return missionaries this signing class will be smaller than normal. There is flexibility every year to "push forward" recruits. What that means is they go on scholarship August 1st usually. In the case of David Moala he wasn't even eligible for the opening game this year. That will happen again this year with a few guys I think. A guy like Chris Copier will count towards 2016 class. Every year you only get 25 signees.

In the recruiting world the last few days have been exciting and tomorrow is Dec signing day.

Patrick Mekari committed. He is a HS Offensive Lineman.

Preston Brooksby from Glendale CC committed to the Aggies. He is signing this December and enrolling in January.

Today Gerold Bright committed. He is a dynamic playmaker that will play somewhere on offense. He is the highest rated recruit so far.

December signees should include:

Devante Mays - The BIG Runningback that everyone has been wanting.

Jude Hockel - Offensive Lineman from Diablo Valley JC

Preston Brooksby - another offensive lineman.

I know that a lot of Aggies fans were and still are holding their breath hoping for a Safety and for Offensive lineman that can come in and contribute. One possibility if Utah State can steal him away from BYU is Khari Vanderbilt. He would be an instant contributor and recently visited USU.

The staff has had a great success rate on guys that visit and commit. If that keeps up we will have to cut down on the visits and no more new offers because the spots are just not there right now.

But on the bright side there are sign and send guys and a couple more #AggieUps to come!
