The secret is out! Hawaii produces good Quarterbacks too. Polynesians started at quarterback for multiple PAC12 schools last year. Obviously Marcus Mariota was a Heisman winner and led his team to the Championship game. With a focus on size and athleticism it makes sense.
Ephraim Tuliloa should be one of the top QB's in Hawaii this year. He already has offers from UNLV and Colorado. More schools will join the list it seems. Ephraim checked in recently at almost 230 pounds, and he shows pretty good mobility. He is a dual threat QB that has a strong arm and some moxey running the ball. I think that schools like to recruit guys that if they don't work out at QB they can change positions.
"I have a strong arm and can use my size and speed to get yards if I run the ball. I am really focused on getting reps throwing with my receivers and getting better right now."
Ephraim plays on a good Punahou team and along with camps this summer will have a chance to prove he is athletic and skilled enough to be a good College QB. He is hoping to make it to All Poly/ Utah schools and also a Bay area trip to Stanford and Cal this summer.
Ephraim is hearing from Utah State, Hawaii, Air Force, BYU, Stanford and Vanderbilt. There will be a bunch of coaches at his spring game with those schools, USC, Boise State and others in attendance most likely.
Tuliloa is LDS and may serve a two year mission before his career begins. But has not decided for sure.
Ephraim has a cousin at Utah and lots of family in the state of Utah. So he likes the idea of playing at BYU, Utah or Utah State. He is open to all schools and is hoping to see his recruitment pick up even more.
