New Additions to USU football for 2015

Utah State will add a couple new Wide Receivers and a Linebacker for this year.

I heard a lot of people clamoring for a safety to be added to the Aggies roster. Going into spring football, Utah State had question marks at Safety, injuries at LB and defections from the team at WR. After signing day the Utah State staff is still keeping their eye out for potential contributors.

It looks like the answer to those questions are a HS WR from Florida, a transfer from Northern Illinois, a JC Linebacker and Safeties that were already at Utah State. The Safety position could still change but it looks like unless there is a dynamite difference maker they are happy there. Also there are Safeties they are recruiting for 2016 as well. More isn't always better.

Marquise Brown is a 5'10 160 WR from South Broward HS in Florida. He is a dynamic play maker and a guy like JoJo Natson that can make plays in a variety of ways. When Scout reached out to him he said "I'm ready to be an Aggie".

David Senior was recruited by Utah State just over a year ago. He chose NIU and after a redshirt year decided to transfer. David is also a dynamic WR from Florida. 5'11 180 from Boyd Anderson HS was highly recruited in High School and now wants an opportunity to play. He will sit out next year but still has 3 years of eligibility left to help the Aggies.

Brock Carmen is a Linebacker from Riverside CC. He was a walk-on at Fresno State as a safety and then switched positions. Watching his HUDL, he moved around quite a bit and is a guy that should add depth to the Inside and Outside LB positions. He will be coming to Logan immediately and will be able to play this year as a late signee.

It is possible that the USU is not done and the Aggies do have some guys they have offered or interested in bringing in this year. It will be interesting to see how these guys contribute to the team in practice and games this year. Also Cole Casper will be a walkon that comes in the the opportunity to contribute right away on special teams and kind of a hybrid SS/LB. Sometimes it just takes getting the right opportunity!
