It's good to feel loved

Daniel Auelua went on an unofficial visit and has now committed to play for Utah State. He will be a Junior in the 2016 class.

Daniel Auelua visited Utah State on Friday, slept on it and then committed to play there in 2016. He let the staff know today that he wants to be an Aggie.

So what was it that made him decide to commit?

"They explained how much they need me and want me and I loved the coaches. I sat and talked with Coach Wells for about two hours yesterday."

It is also a big weight off the coaching staffs neck as well with 2 Nose Guards from this years team graduating in Travis Seefeldt and David Moala. They wanted to bring someone in that could contribute and compete right away.

Auelua plays at Mesa CC and will be a sophomore this year. He was under the radar right now after playing on a line that was pretty loaded last year. This year he should have a good year and be counted on to lead that group in AZ.

This seems like a match made in heaven with Daniel a Utah kid (Lone Peak HS) and experienced from JC to step in. Auelua hit it off right away with the coaches from Coach Heupel, Malloe and Coach Wells.

"I know they'll treat me well and Coach Malloe coached my older bro at UTEP so I'd love to be coached by him as well."

This is one spot in the 2016 class that we can check off with about 23 more to go. Stay tuned to UstateAggies.com and Scout to get all the latest.
