Valley TE will serve a Mission then play for the Hometown Aggies

Bryce Mortenson verbally committed to Utah State Friday. He is a long athletic TE that after a mission will be a big target for the Aggies.

Bryce Mortenson was hoping this day would come. He was hoping for a long time that the Utah State coaching staff would extend an offer because that's where he wanted to play. So relatively soon after the offer came...

Utah State has increased the role of the TE's under Luke Wells and Josh Heupel. There is a need for guys that can both be weapons in the passing game and also block. Mortenson plays primarily WR in high school but probably the most improvement in the last year has been his blocking.

With a long 6'6 220 pound frame he will be a good fit in the Aggies offense. Bryce has been having a huge year for 5A contender Sky View. He has 59 catches for 946 yards (16 yards per catch) with 15 touchdowns this season.

Bryce Mortenson will get to play for the hometown school after his 2 year Mission and I think Aggie fans will be happy to have him.
