Braxton Gunther plays at Woods Cross High school and is a guy I have covered and talked to for a long time. I knew once Utah State pulled the trigger on the offer he would commit. Gunther is a tough kid who has been through a lot in his career already.
The latest challenge has been both waiting for an offer from his dream school all while struggling this year as a team at Woods Cross. It has been a tough year in the win loss column and also in the health department for Braxton. He has had injuries and has really shown his toughness and leadership in my opinion.
For the obligatory mission question: No he is not a sign and send guy.
As far as the impact on the team next year: That will be really tough basically he makes the 8th safety on scholarship. This really shows how much the Aggies like BRaxton because there is not a huge need for more safeties. The Aggies are loaded with Centers, Rocquemore and Leavitt coming back along with other young guys on the roster.
This is a perfect fit for the Blue Collar program at Utah State. Gunther is just a guy that is a tough football player. He is a top recruit instate and rated a 3 Star recruit by Scout. He had offers from Nevada and Wyoming among other programs.
