Utah State loses to BYU and creates more questions

Utah State loses to BYU and where do we go from here?

Utah State lost to BYU tonight. OK I'm done with that.

Now the questions begin...

Utah State managed to beat the King of the Mountain West in Boise State but did not do anything with it.

Utah State will go to a Bowl game so all is not doom and gloom. The problem is, everything was right there in their finger tips. Close enough to smell.

Who or what is to blame? I don't have all the answers. Even if I did I can't do anything about it.

Coaching:

Capitalizing on those opportunities was a real problem.

Should we scrap the "stay medium" philosophy?

This staff has been called "conservative" by some. The question is don't you need to be aggressive on Defense if you are conservative on Offense? Or to win as a Non P5 do you have to be Aggressive?

Red Zone issues? Who is to blame for that?

My key coming into this season was Offensive Line. That has not been good enough.

The difference between winning and losing is small. That is one thing I do know.

Players make plays, players win games.

Players:

Is there a Leadership problem? Or is this team less mentally strong?

On the road is where this is most evident and it may be the reason the Aggies lost on the road this year.

Will Utah State ever have a clutch Kicker?

I think the players are less to blame in general.

Is the foundation and infastructure in place for Utah State to have a consistant winner?

In general I would say Matt Wells was able to keep assistants and hire the coaches that he wanted.

I am expecting something to change this offseason, I'm just not sure what Matt Wells will do.

The schedule does not get any easier next year.
