Utah State will look to make 2017 a big year instate

Utah State is targeting a good instate class in 2017.

Utah State has been active identifying the top talent instate. The Aggies have offered five guys recently.

This time of year they seem to be really trying to find the guys with the size and D1 potential to keep an eye on.

There will be more guys emerge as the year goes on and with camps coming up it will be exciting to see what happens.

Ben Bywater is a 3 Star Outside Linebacker from Olympus.

Ben is a star Rugby player and told me he is very excited to get his first offer from the Aggies. He spent much of last season with a nagging injury but looks to have a big season this year.

AJ Iloa East HS athlete

He plays CB and WR right now. Good length and athleticism could turn into a different position in college.

Plays at East which is turning into a really great recruiting spot year in and year out. They won the state title last year and could have a couple more guys the Aggies look at.

Bundy Sewell DT Desert Hills HS St George UT

Bundy is a big lineman that can move well enough to play OL or DL. There are great tools to work with. I'm sure the coaches are excited about the potential. Als

Lorenzo Fauatea DE Hunter HS

I have watched Lorenzo a lot both in camps and at Hunter.

He really tried to will his team to wins last year. He almost played every snap both ways.

He and his team ran out of gas at the end of games last year but I really like the way he plays.

I personally think he could end up at OT but he told me they offered as a Defensive Lineman and that is what he loves and would be his preference. I like to call this type of guy a JUMBO Athlete because either way you can't lose.

Carson Terrell TE from Lehi HS

Carson seems like one of those guys that is a no brainer to offer. 6'5 and a good athlete is not as easy to find as you would hope.

I heard he was even more impressive at the Pylon 7 on 7 in Las Vegas and seems to be improving and bulking up even more.
