Dennehy Challenges Offensive Line

Utah State head football coach Mick Dennehy has delivered the challenge to the offensive line — the offense will only be as good as they are.

"For the most part they have performed pretty good, and this year is not going to be an exception," Dennehy said. "We haven't had to start a season with a new quarterback in a while, and he's (Travis Cox) going to have to rely on them." Senior guard Trevor Hutton, who was the Aggies' top offensive lineman last year and an Outland Trophy candidate this year, has taken that challenge to heart. "He's a great team guy. He's a vocal guy," Dennehy said. "If something's going wrong, he's not afraid to get in somebody's face and make them aware of it." The Aggies lost a pair of three-year starters in Luis Trujillo and Jim Newton. Hutton will be joined by returning center Aric Galliano, Donald Penn, Greg Vandermade and transfer Ronald Tupea. "We're a much closer group than we have been in the past," Hutton said. "We're working better together. I think we have the possibility of being a better offensive line than we have in the past."
