Utah State will get back on the field and hit someone to get some frustration out after a disappointing season last year.
Spring practice brings some interesting storylines to watch for.
Last year a number of guys showed they could be contributors and this year will be the same.
Some of those guys that played last year will take the next step and become even more important foundations for the team.
Some of the players and position groups to watch.
Chase Christiansen, David Woodward and Kevin Meitzenheimer are inside linebacker to watch.
Christiansen proved to be able to be a rotation LB last year and is coming off an injury. He may be held out to a certain extent.
David Woodward is a guy, that if he has put in the work in the weight room has a chance to play as a RS Freshman.
Meitzenheimer is in the same boat. This spring without some of the return missionaries and signees in camp the young guys will get a chance to impress.
Adewale Adeoye is the guy to watch. The NG position should be pretty set with Uasike, Unga and Schuster but DE opposite Ian Togiai is wide open. Without the new guys Andersen, Wildman and
The expectations on Robert Castaneda are pretty high. I think most fans expect his to come and play right away on a unit that had a subpar year last year and graduated 4 seniors.
Aliifua, Andrus, McMoore and Taylor have to be on this list as well to see what things look like going into Summer and Fall camp. Oh what the heck we will just watch the whole group to see what is going on!
New coaches including Yost and Tommerdahl will be interesting to watch as well.
There are other guys to watch because in my opinion they will take next step and really take over as the foundations or keys to the Aggies success. I will be watching thse guys just because they are fun to watch and have proven they are good!
You should already know the two top WR's coming back. They were only FR and SO last year so they still have a few years of fun to watch.
If you don't know the name... You should. He was a beast as a brand new returned missionary. Imagine what he can do next year as a Soph that has been with the program over a year.
The leader of the Aggie defense will have one more year to cement his legacy as an Aggie great.
Had some flashes of brilliance as really talented Freshman usually do. He will need to become more consistent and a leader on this defense.
Dax sat out last year and we can all watch closely and hope he returns to form from his freshman year at least.
