Offensive Line looks like a position of strength for the next few years in Utah.
I try to pick out diamonds in the rough that will start getting offered scholarships soon. I attended Mountain West Elite and Mac's D1 Showcase.
One thing is for sure, some teams like Herriman, East and American Fork will be very good on the oline this year. Each of those teams has some size and guys that stood out in camps recently.
Some up and comers emerged from Weber, Viewmont, Lehi and Davis. It is always fun to see who improves the most over the next year as well.
It depends to a certain extent if you want an athletic undersized guy that you can project well enough to offer. There are a few guys that have the size now so maybe that makes it easier to project but at the same time will get stronger and lean up in a D1 weight program.
I also am avoiding the obvious of saying East has a bunch of Olineman or Jaren Kump is really good (BYU Commit with a ton of offers)
This kid is a Mountain. They grow em big out on the west side of Weber County.
Interior Olineman that has the nasty tough side that you need. Both Lehi guys have taken Dline reps at MWE and inseason at Lehi.
Long and Athletic. One of the hardest workers at Mountain West elite.
Long and Athletic. Also competed in both camps, shed some blood in one on ones while I was watching. Tough kid, who says you need pads to be physical?
Has the size and athleticism already but is only going into his Junior year. One of the best oline prospects in the state hands down.
Alex Harrison - Viewmont
Playing as a Freshman gives some cred in my book.
Karter Shaw - Brother plays at Utah State
Jake Anderson is a good looking TE as well
That's a line full of D1 potential. And this is assuming these are the starters and someone else doesn't emerge. The Dline should be good as well.
